The experience

Space keeps the last 60 seconds. A ray trajectory remains a translucent thread, a tap makes a ✦ impulse, and selecting an old impulse unfolds four states around it: NOW, −1, −2, −3 and −4 seconds. This is a three-dimensional temporal debugger of actions in the room, not a recording of the room.

Interaction

  • Select in empty space creates a ✦.
  • Select near an old impulse opens local time layers.
  • Quest hand or controller rays, and the same select API on phones and desktop, work alike.
  • Clear history removes all traces and layers.

What is stored

The tab retains a ring buffer for the ray, impulses with world positions and up to a minute of lifetime, a compact movement journal and a selected point. Raw events stay in the tab and go nowhere. Only those actions are reconstructed: no image or video of the real room is recorded.

Google XR Blocks depends on WebXR. Required browser capabilities can be absent on iOS, including Safari, so this experiment may not start there. Quest 3 is the target platform; the desktop simulator is for testing the mechanics.
